Join us for a fantastic multi-cheese making cheese making class (workshop) held at the elegant Inn at Lonesome Hollow, located in beautifully rural Soldiers Grove, Wisconsin. Enjoy the company of other cheese making enthusiasts in a small and personal group environment. Enjoy tasting local and homemade cheeses, local and imported wines. Learn the craft of making Camembert/Baby Brie, Blue, Chevre and Feta. Take home your homemade Camembert/Brie, Blue, Feta, Chevre (and fresh whey to make Ricotta) to finish aging and enjoying in your home. - Friday
6-8pm: Wine reception at The Inn at Lonesome Hollow; hosted by The Inn. (for Inn guests only).
- Saturday:
- 9am sharp. Breakfast (for Inn guests only).
- 10am: Intensive workshop begins: Learn the basics of cheesemaking while making Camembert/Brie, Blue, Chevre, Feta and Ricotta. Hands on cheesemaking.
- 12pm: Lunch break: We will take a count before the workshop begins to see how many may want to attend lunch (soup and/or salad) at the Country Gardens or lunch break on your own.
- 1:30pm: Continuation of workshop (cheese making class).
- 5pm: Wine and cheese social at The Inn for all workshop participants. Sample various local, homemade and imported gourmet hard, soft and rind ripened cheeses on French baquettes. served with other hors d'oeuvres.
- 6pm or 6:30pm: Dinner. On your own. It is fun to attend dinner as a group, but feel free to have dinner where you would like. There is one casual dinner place in Soldiers Grove (Country Gardens) and more choices in Viroqua, a short 20 minute drive. The Driftless Inn in Viroqua offers excellent organic, great tasting food at reasonable prices.
- Sunday:
9am: Breakfast (for Inn guests only) at the Inn.
- 10am: Prepare your cheeses you made on Saturday for travel. Salting and unmoulding of Camembert, moulding Chèvre, and preparing Feta blocks for travel.
- 12noon: Depart the Inn with your homemade cheeses.

Where is the cheese making class (workshop) located and how far from local airports: The Inn at Lonesome Hollow in Soldiers Grove, Wisconsin is where the workshop will take place. Soldiers Grove, Wisconsin is a 1 1/2 hour drive by car from Madison, Wisconsin; 3 hour drive from Milwaukee, Wisconsin and about 3 1/2 hour drive from Chicago, Illinois. All three of these cities have international airports.

What you need to bring to the cheese making class (workshop): Your appetite for cheese and wine and a zest for learning to make gourmet cheese. Note paper, pens will be provided. |
What is included in the cheese making class (workshop): Wine and cheese social, Saturday noon lunch, tools and equipment needed to make your homemade cheeses, two Camembert/Brie/Blue Cheese Making Kits ($93.94 value) including my Camembert/Brie/Blue Cheese Making eBook Printed Guide and containers/bags to take your cheeses with you, notepaper and pen.

What is not included in the cheese making class (workshop): Lodging at the Inn and transportation to The Inn, and any restaurants. Meals bought at local restaurants. |

Cancellation of workshop: you may reschedule your workshop at a future date. Refund can be made if cancelled workshop can be rebooked by another cheese maker. |
