Recommended, (but not required) for fresh and soft cheeses. Double strength microbial rennet derived from Mucor miehei. Contains no preservatives (sodium benzoate/potassium sorbate)or coloring. Available in 1 oz., 4 oz.(14.7ml, 29.5 ml, 118.2 ml) and 1 pint (.43 liter), 1 quart (.94 liter), 1 gallon(3.78 liters) convenient squeeze bottles. Double strength microbial rennet derived from Mucor Miehei and sodium chloride. Conforms to organic standards. 1/4 tsp. (1.2 ml) will coagulate 2 gal. (7.5l) of milk. Useage Rate: 0.75 - 1.0 oz. (22-29 mls)/ 1000 lbs. milk.
This rennet is acceptable for the production of vegetarian cheeses.

Very good product. We have been using the double strength rennet for a while and this one is as good as any we have tried. The best thing about this one though is that we can't find it anywhere else for this price. Definitely a good deal.

This product did what it said. I made cheese for the first time ever and it turned out chevre. The only mistakes were my own. I didn't order the cheesecloth that was recommended and needed to put a little more salt. The second batch turned out great. I also want to say my order from the cheese maker arrived at my house in about 2 days. Everything was as described. Very nice company to do business with. Received an email from the owner if I needed any help making my cheese to call him. That's pretty impressive especially from an online company. I gave it a 4 because I don't have anything to compare it to so I don't know if it's the best.
Why rennet when you can own it?

This rennet works. Not much more needs to be said other than that my customers, vegan or not, appreciate the difference. I would also like to applaud the excellent service, from reliable order handling to speedy delivery - every time!
