  2. Measuring spoons

Posted by Bill on 10th Nov 2016

Trying to find measuring spoons for small quanties (< 1/4 tsp) that actually tell you the real measurement, not things like dab, pinch, etc proved to be a real trial. But these measuring spoons, a set of 3, are embossed with real numbers: 1/8. 1/16 & 1/32 tsp as well as ml. Who is ever going to remember what "pinch" means (in fact many pages didn't say), but these measuring spoons tell one exactly in standard and widely used measures. No ambiguity, you get what you need. As far as I'm concerned everything else dealing in dabs ans pinches are worthless. What I got from the Cheesemaker are high quality stainless steel with true measures embossed on them, for a very reasonable price.

  3. Better than a "Smidgen"

These are great for the measurements used in cheesemaking products. Such an improvement over the decorative version sold in big box stores that are marked Tad, Dash, Pinch, Smidgen.

  4. Must have for accurate measurement

Previously, the smallest measuring spoon I had was 1/8th of a tsp. When I purchased the dry rennet, I had to guestimate on what 1/16th was. Not any more.
Because cheese is such a precise art, I cannot recommend these highly enough.
Only caveat? The writing is upside down for a right handed user.

  5. Great Measuring Spoons ..!

Could not find anything this small in Stainless Steel... So when I saw this set, I thought I'd take a chance... And I'm glade I did! they are great for measuring things like Calcium Chloride for cheese making.
