Shipping Confirmation, Insurance, Lost, Damaged or Stolen Shipments:

  • We ship same or next day as ordered Monday through Saturday(when viable) if orders are received by 4 pm CST.
  • Free Shipping for Orders  $45 USD or more when shipped within the USA. 
  • International shipping is calculated based on weight at checkout- see details below for 'International Customers'
  • Shipments are sent either USPS Ground Advantage or UPS Ground (depending upon size/weight) with tracking.
  • You may select 'Priority Shipping' at checkout which will be USPS Priiority or UPS 3 Day Select.
  • Please call or email for options  if you need Expedited shipping and a specific delivery date.
  • Shipping confirmation / tracking is emailed to you when your order is shipped.
  • Incorrect / Incomplete shipping addresses: Please be careful to list your correct shipping address and/or postal code at check-out. If an incorrect address and/or postal code is given at time of order and shipment is not received, the cost, including shipping of sending a replacement order will be the responsibility of the customer

 

  • Summertime shipping- Freeze Dried cultures and Rennets travel well outside of refrigeration even in the summer months.  Just store properly once recieved.  (Live Kefir Grains are shipped USPS Priority Mail with a cold pack as they are not freeze dried)

 

  • International Customers:
  • Many items have International options as a destination; shipping costs are calculated at checkout.
  • International Shipping is via either Global Post or UPS International, depending upon weight and dimensions.
  • Customers are responsible for any import restrictions or import duties.
  • We cannot be responsible for shipments that are held up by customs or if duties are required to clear customs.

Payment Information:

  • The easiest way to order and make payment is through our website.
  • It is convenient and safe to use your credit card,  Paypal or Amazon Pay to complete your order.
  • Credit card payment for orders: we do not see or store your credit card information. When an order is processed, your credit card information is handled by the gateway and processor, not by a human.
  • For extra shipping costs such as expedited / overnight we will provide costs and options and send a link to create a separate order for the incremental shipping costs.

Returns:

  • Please email info@thecheesemaker.com or call prior to returning any item. Returns must be first authorized. An approved refund or store credit will be issued within 10 day days for approved returns for item(s) returned as long as they are received undamaged, unopened, and unused.  
  • Items damaged in shipment must be reported within 48 hours of receiving your order to be eligible for replacement.
  • Cultures, Rennet and Ingredients are non-returnable. 
  • We are happy to troubleshoot if you have challenges when making cheese/yogurt.

  • Your personal information, such as your name, email address will never be given away, transferred or sold to any other person, party, organization or business. Your personal information is only held in our database for the purpose of sending you future information updates and/or product updates or offers. Like you, we also hate junk and spam emails, thus we regard your privacy concerns with great care.
