Freeze Dried Kefir Culture  :  

MAKE YOUR OWN KEFIR - it's EASY!  Very Smooth, takes only a few minutes to make along with incubating overnight and it's ready to go!

This Dry Kefir Culture will make a very smooth Kefir product - tastes a lot like what you might buy in the Dairy section at your local store.



We’ve had great success using 1/16th teaspoon along with 1 Quart of Milk; or if you want a larger batch use 1/8th tsp with 1/2 gallon of milk.

  • Warm milk to 85-90F
  • add culture;  allow to rehydrate on top of milk for a few minutes, and then gently stir in using up/down method of stirring.
  • allow the culture to ferment at 85-90F(30-32c) for 12 hours;  we recommend theMilkman™ Yogurt Incubator ; this incubator holds temp for a very long time (over 12 hours is no problem)
  • your KEFIR is now ready to enjoy-  drink it as is; or add your favorite fruit or vanilla for extra flavor!
